PAUSD BOARD OF EDUCATION (4-year terms) 
The Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD) is governed by a five-member Board of Education. The School District is independent of the City of Palo Alto, and its boundaries are not the same. The School Board generally meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room at 25 Churchill Avenue. Citizens are invited to express their views to the Board but are encouraged to present problems first to school personnel, unless they relate to District policy. Palo Alto is a charter city and operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The mayor is elected by the Council from its own members. The Council meets on the first three Mondays of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall. On Fridays before meetings, Council packets are on file in public libraries, in the City Clerk's office and posted on the city website. Agendas are available from the City Clerk and on the city website under agendas/minutes/reports. Meetings of the Council and some commissions are broadcast on Midpen Media Government Channel 26 and KZSU (90.1 FM).
