Letter to City Council Supporting Resolution Condemning Recent Executive Orders

The League of Women Voters of Palo Alto supported a proposed City Council Resolution, condemning Trump’s recent executive orders freezing federal funding already appropriated by Congress to pressure states and localities to comply with policy goals that violate state or local laws. The Resolution also opposes the firing of federal workers without due process and dismantling efforts to increase representation of women and minorities in the workforce. Read the letter HERE.
