LWV supported a proposed City Council Resolution, condemning Trump’s recent executive orders freezing federal funding already appropriated by Congress to pressure states and localities to comply with policy goals that violate state or local laws. The Resolution also opposes the firing of federal workers without due process and dismantling efforts to increase representation of women and minorities in the workforce.

LWVPA co-sponsored with Palo Alto Forward a panel during Affordable Housing Month on Missing Middle Housing. Presenters made a strong case for rewriting our current R-1 zoning, showing that different types of housing make a neighborhood and contribute to a low-carbon environment.
